Nowadays, there is no doubt that climate change and the sustainability of our inhabitation on Earth are a burning issue.
Surely, we are aware that we humans are the only species producing non-compostable waste.
Moreover, recycling should not be an option but an urgently needed action. An answer, in reaction to our suffering planet.
That being said… have you ever wondered about what would happen if Earth leftovers were turned into artwork?
Would you consider it to be something temporary or a permanent art statement?
We see it as a sentimental call for a change.
“Once upon a time, there were two artists. Only when they found each other, with quiet help of the Universe, they started loudly gazing on Earth together.
Looking for temporary leftovers, timeless artwork was created.”
EARTHWINDESIRE is a new emerging art brand that you if you still haven’t, will certainly hear about. Founded by Larisa, an architect from Croatia and Daniel, a sculptor from Austria. They defined themselves “a green couple”.
What brought them together was the same crazy approach to life, and passion for nature, art, and recycling. Something we know really well.
That is the reason why founding their brand @earthwindesire where they can turn Earth leftovers to art was a natural thing. They decided to move to Samobor in Croatia, where they have a small house, surrounded by nature and a big studio where all the artwork is created.

How they reconvert natural waste into new objects
The artwork is a combination of wood, metal, stone, even bones (!check out the bones lamp called ‘SLAVERY’) and everything they found during walks in nature.
Wood is what they are most passionate about – only hardwood that is conserved by being stuck in soil or water is used. Once that is discovered, it takes much time and effort to clean it, dry it, form it, polish it and finally treat it with a natural, plant-based oil to preserve the beauty of the revealed structure.
Although they are both artists, they joke about calling Daniel a hard work manager, through whose hands all the artwork is molded, while Larisa is a soft skills manager, managing graphic design, photography and business part for the brand.
They met on Tinder and it is a natural thing that they strongly believe in the power of social media. All the information about the purchase, distributors, collaborations and upcoming pop-up events you can find or their Instagram profile @earthwindesire.
They are a young and special greener creative reality.
